This glossary contains common words use in the field of Social Science, specifically in the field of Psychology to describe or analyze a behaviour.

Psychoanalysis
noun
A system of psychological theory and therapy which aims to treat mental disorders by investigating the interaction of conscious and unconscious elements in the mind and bringing repressed fears and conflicts into the conscious mind by techniques such as dream interpretation and free association.
Example: Although the form of psychoanalysis used by Freud is rarely used today, many therapists still use similar techniques and ideas, reconstituted to form what is now called psychodynamic therapy.

This glossary is for future students who would like to study in the field of Psychology.
