Introduction

Hi, my name is Anna Phan.
I've currently been studying Social Science for two years now at Ahuntsic College.
For those who might not know what Social Science is, Social Science entails the study of human behavior and society at a variety of levels. Popular Social Science majors include psychology, political science, and even economy. A Social Science degree can lead to many types of jobs in business, science, and even law.

The Problem

If you're like me, and is thinking about going into political science in the future, speaking and writing, as your second language can be very difficult.

You don't want to make an embarrassment out of yourself and definitely want to show your credibility in front of your peers.

If you're looking for a way to increase your vocabulary skills and to decrease your grammatical mistakes, this website is for you.

The Quest

Let's open a new tab in your browser and type in the address bar, at the top of your screen VirtualWritingTutor.com. If you have typed the URL correctly, you will see the logo in the top left - hand corner of your screen.

Under the logo, you will see the navigation menu, if you want to learn more about the website. Under that, in the middle of your screen, in the text area. In the bottom right - hand corner of the text area, are a series of icons to help you with your pronunciation. Just above the text area are all the buttons you will need to correct your text.

The Solution

For my field of study, the most important tool is the grammar check. You can write any sentence, for example Persuasion is a major in politics. If you click on the grammar check button, it will tell you your word count, how many mistakes you have, and it will calculate the error density.
